Team Registration & Fundraising
If you would like to form a team to run or walk in honor of a family member or friend, it’s easy. Team members can consist of family, friends, co-workers, classmates, athletes or anyone else you can recruit. Team members can be any combination of runners, walkers and/or kids participating in either event. Members of the team do not all have to participate in the same event. To create a team you must have a minimum of 15 participants.
TEAM Race Sign-up/ Registration
Team members will need to register online on an individual basis and will input their team name in the proper location on the registration form. Team members do not all have to participate in the same event, but can be split between the 1 Mile Family Fun Run and the 5K Run.

Once team members have individually registered online, have them inform you that they have done so.
This year we are asking that each participant contribute to our overall fundraising efforts by creating their own personal, or family fundraising page in order to solicit family, friends and coworkers to support them and our cause. Based on last year's number of participants, if each participant raised only $200, that would bring in more than $100,000! It's as easy as asking 20 people for a $10 donation, or 10 people for a $20 donation. Who doesn't know 10-20 people that would be willing to donate to such a great cause? Remember, their donation is tax deductible too. As a bonus, for each participant that raises $200, their race entry is free. This is a $30 value. Have a family that will be participating? No problem! Create a "family" fundraising page, and if you are a family of 4, raise $800, then all 4 family members have their race entry free waived.
It's easy to start a Team page (Team Captains will be in charge of creating their Team pages). Once your team page has been created and you've invited all of your team members to join, then you will create a personal or family fundraising page where you will send out emails to prospective donors. This site is easy to use and you can even add photos, videos and blog updates. Click on the link provided here and follow the instructions (Please note: This is for fundraising only! If you reach the fundraising goal and earn a free race entry (or multiple entries for a family), I will need to input your race registration in order for the fee to be waived. CUSTOMIZED TEAM SHIRTS
Team registration allows you to create your own customized team t-shirt for free. The design on the front of the shirt will be the same as all participants in Run-4-A-Cause, which will include the race name, date and logo. The back of the shirt will be designed by you and should include your customized team name, any logo/artwork you would like included and/or wording. The color of the shirt will be decided upon by you as well. Your customized artwork, along with shirt color, is due to one of our Team Coordinators no later than May 1, 2015. TEAM PACKET PICK-UP
Team packets will be available for pick-up on Friday, June 19th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Vitale’s (400 Ada Drive SE). And late pick up on Race Day, June 20th from 7:00 am to 8:00 am at Leonard Park. The Team Captain can pick up all of the team member’s packets during that time. They will need to provide us with a list of their participants, along with their t-shirt sizes, no later than June 1, 2015. If a team member will be picking up their packet individually, please note that on your team list.
Speaking at the Run
There are opportunities for team members to speak at the event. If you are interested, please let the Team Coordinator know prior to June 1st if you would like to speak at the event.
TEAM PHOTOS ON RACE MORNING
Team photographs will be taken on race morning at 8:45 a.m., just prior to the Family Fun Run. Please have your team report to the stage area at that time.
